I'm looking to build an SB3 based system for my living room (so aesthetics are a consideration, and I already have an SB3 connected to my TAGMcLaren DAC and B&W 805's in my listening room, so this is not my primary system).
The question I have is: Would I be better off (in terms of sound quality), going for something like Audioengine5's or a combination of something like a Trends Audio TA10 (fascinated by this product) and a pair of passive speakers, such as Wharfedale Diamonds 9.1, which together cost the same in the UK £200 / $400.
