Question: If the volume adjustment under 'settings' is set to 'disabled' (or whatever the menu calls it) and one is using their SB3 or Transporter from the RCA outputs directly into an amp or preamp (i.e. no external DAC), it is my understanding that the volume adjustment on the SB3/Transporter (NOT the preamp) takes place in the analog domain. Is this a correct statement?
I have searched the forum on this issue and, quite frankly, the threads on this and related topics are clear as mud to me.
