I'd say it doesn't matter one bit how you do the comparison, blind, double blind, deaf, mute... As long as you feel you pick whatever you like best, who cares how you decided? Not like you're going to spend a ton of money depending on the outcome. Also, if you've ripped some DTS music, it might be easier to by default use the receiver's dac, to avoid being startled if you try to play that DTS album through the SB2 dac! (Or when the wife tries to play it.)
