Hi, I don't know your specific amp/speakers but I have the Audioengine 5. I would think that if the Tannoy's are anything in the class, or above, of "entry level hi-fi" speakers, then your current setup will sound better. The Audioengine is amazing at the price, but I also think the design is somehow a compromise. If you appreciate detail, they may not be optimal. They do have lots of bass and oomph in general. That said I certainly think they are good enough to recommend that you listen to them if you can.
