It's a problem with some encoding. I think it's called white noise or maybe pink noise, I don't remember which. You probably need to upgrade your SC. They had a problem with the encoding of some mp3's on rhapsody. I had this when I accidentally tried to play a drm encoded Itunes file. It could damage your speakers if you have the volume too loud. It sounded like glass breaking or something similar. If upgrading doesn't fix it then you might have something else going on. Keep the volume down until you figure it though.
