I have now setup two sb3's side by side, connected digitally to my TACT which has input select via remote, making a/b testing easy to do.
The two stock SB3's are configured as follows: 1) wi-fi SB3, connected via ethernet, Kimber D-60 1 metre coax, linear PSU 2) wired-only SB3 connected via ethernet, Blue Jeans 1 metre (Belden) coax. stock PSU The player settings are identical in SC and they are fully synchronised. Digital level control is fixed, analogue attenuation is 63. I just did a very quick A/B to make sure everything was working and there is a clear difference in sound between them.
