I read this (between the lines) as that my response in this thread is
considered a retaliation and counter personal attack, while I consider
it a joke and, although addressed to the person, not an attack. I mean,
it's clear that "walkman and hormone cure" isn't meant literally and
thus a joke while stuff like "liar, moron etc" leaves no room for that,
different sides of the line imo. May be Mike can clear this up, just to
be sure what the company policy is or where it puts the line?

I also get the feeling that Mike (SD?) and many members disapprove of
any heated discussions (without personal attacks / foul language) in
this audiophile forum, and I mean to the point of not allowing it, not
just ignoring it. I get that impression mostly from this statement from
mike:

I started one of the threads like that because even the charter of the
forum ("Know everything about Pear Cables v.s. The Amazing Randi? This
is your forum.") indicates it is to be expected that heated discussions
are unavoidable. I thought this was okay as long as there would be no
personal attacks. If this has changed now or never was the case, I
think the forum description should mention that or at least the sticky
message. I think such a measure would seriously hurt the sense of the
forum because it would prohibit any discussion between "believers and
non-believers" of many "audiophile products" as they all are heated and
a big part of the audiophile market. What would be left is stuff for the
other forums and make this one dead.

Anyway, although I don't intend to start a new thread on "analog vs
digital" anytime soon, I won't shy away from spicy posts until I get my
temp-ban or see a clear charter for this forum that states it isn't
allowed. I do understand that this is a company-forum without free
speech and such but spicy posts on subjects of audiophile
foils/cables/vinyl/hi-res etc. are part of this forum imo.

I hope I get some feedback from Mike;

thanks,
Nick.
