I can confirm Mark's remarks. There was a period (after FW40) that the degaussing rattle was very annoying (sometimes every 5 seconds and it seemed totally random). That's completely gone now. Over the last months I have heard it only after a firmware upgrade or after a new power up (I almost never use the knob).
