Interesting thread we have here. I always learned that in music there
are many overtones which on their own might not be heard by the humen
ear but they do add to the sound and soundstage and when removed from
the music you can hear a difference.
Maybe mp3 compression takes away the overtones and that is why flac
sounds better then mp3, even at 320. The difference between mp3 (at
320) and flac is many times not audible (to me) but especially with
classical/jazz sometimes I think i can hear the difference.
