Cool this DAT is still alive! I had a DTC-57ES myself back in the good old times. I used a DAC based on a BB PCM63 and OP627 in the output if i remember right. This BB already sounded better back then, so in theory the SB should be better. I wonder why you don't try a listening test on your own before asking here if your SB sounds better?
