What's wrong with the Sb's digital output that makes it require modification? Whats wrong with your sound that you wish to correct? I nave SB3's and a transporter and they both sound identical to my high end transport when using their SPDIF out.. I dunno if the Sb2 uses he same digital circuitry or output as the 3 , but if not I would try a 3 before shelling out much more money on a TP.
