There are lots of folks in this forum on both sides of this argument. Personally, I am going to try the MH DAC because I still feel the TP seems to make a horrible mess of the lows on poorly recorded music. Stuff like Bonnie Raitt, Dire Straits, Joan Osborne, James Taylor sounds great. Music recorded with mushy, bloated lows actually seem to get worse. Some of my favorites like Al Di Meola's Kiss My Axe don't seem to reproduce well with the TP, but sound very good on my Revox CD player.
I'm gonna at least give it a try. If it isn't an improvement Audio Advisor will let you return it. Can't beat that.
