Hello All My name is Steve, been an audiophile since the ripe ol age of 11 (1973) when I was bit by the bug. Have had many systems, alot of different equipment through the years. My current system consist of:
- CEC CD-3300 CD transport - Benchmark DAC/PRE preamp and DAC - Parasound HCA-1500A power amp - Energy Connoisseur C-9 speakers - Kimber Hero/8TC cabling; Belden 1694A digital cables I'm a 2-channel fan, and the system above acts as both my music/HT system. I have a Panny BluRay player and Samsung 50" DLP HDTV. Though I'm a traditionalist by nature, I also like to stay on top of emerging technologies. I have been researching for quite awhile the Squeezebox lineup, but being a very picky listener, I'm skeptical. The new SQb Touch has peaked my interest lately. I'm lurking/reading with GREAT interest the developments of the Touch, and it looks promising. I have begun ripping my cd's with EAC to flac files in preparation for dipping my toes in the "streaming" waters.
