Just got this last night. Connected with a Shunyata Research Diamondback AC cable, my SB3 sounds more open, with better placement of things in the soundstage, and far tighter bass.
Is it night and day - no. Is it better and more relaxed sounding - absolutely. 1 nit about the Channel Islands Supply. The box itself is very well designed and built, but the DC power cable they provide is actually cheezier than the power cord that comes with the Sqeezebox.
