This is pure marketing technobabble/hogwash. It's not possible to more
accurately interpolate "what was lost". Interpolation is ALWAYS a guess.
It doesn't matter how many extra bits you try and artifically generate.

If 16 bits of dynamic resolution go in, then 16 come out. End of.

Oh, and any "reconstruction" occurs in the filter...

As for that last sentence... pure baloney. Clearly whoever wrote this
has NO understanding of Information Theory.

If the DAC sounds good, then fine. But their explanation blows chunks.

You want to see the signal path BEFORE it gets onto a CD/vinyl...it
ain't what you'd call minimal...
SB Touch Beta (wired) - TACT 2.2X (Linear PSU) + Good Vibrations S/W -
MF Triplethreat(Audiocom full mods) - Linn 5103 - Aktiv 5.1 system (6x
LK140's, ESPEK/TRIKAN/KATAN/SEIZMIK 10.5), Townsend Supertweeters, Blue
Jeans Digital,Kimber Speaker & Chord Interconnect cables
Kitchen Boom, Outdoors: SB Radio
