I have a Transporter, and in order to make it run, I need: a computer
for squeezebox server; furthermore, I have a huge collection of CDs so,
I added a 1.5TB x 2 Linksys DNS-323 NAS... Plus a router to put
everything together!

Someday, I told myself: does it really need to be so complicated to get
Transporter running??? (I know I can hack DNS-323) If you open the lid
of Transporter, you will see half of that box is empty, why cannot we
use that empty space to do something? Like to find an old MacMini from
ebay rip it open, put it inside Transporter, so the squeezebox server
can be installed inside the Transporter, and we can even put a HD in it
and save more space.

My ideal setup is like: Transporter, router and a disk array. Nothing
else.

Probably someone here can give me some insight about why Transporter
are designed so complicated: separate computer, a disk array, a router
to make Transporter work??

Recently, iPod Touch, iPhone are getting popular, does anyone want to
run their squeezebox server on iPod or iPhone??

My set up: DLink DNS-323 NAS (with no RAM hacks) --> Apple Airport
Extreme --> Acer Aspire One (running Ubuntu) --> Transporter --> Quad
66Pre --> Quad 606II.
