I am using AAC, Live only. But this is not a bit rate thing. The BBC must process the sound in some awful way before sending it via internet, FM and DAB. They all sound terrible compared to CD. A CD encoded at 128kbit (or even a much lower bit rate) AAC sounds very good to me.
