Ah well there you go then - the answer to the start of my thread - the
SPDIF is as good as it gets from the 'stock' Touch - let's stop fiddle
farting about and just find a good DAC to plug it directly into..

However - I still think the USB potential is there (as an 'alternative'
to SPDIF) to be used directly into a USB DAC asynchronously.
Theoretically this should improve on SPDIF simple because jitter will
be reduced by totally eliminating the clock from within the SB Touch.

However now I know the SPDIF is as good as it gets - no need to add a
V-LINK anymore.
