I guess we have to agree to disagree. I see no reason to expect the LSBs to be anything but noise if you strip away the MSBs. The exception to this of course is when the MSBs are zero anyway (very quiet passages). That might be when you hear some hint of the music in the LSBs only. Just like the times my checking account reaches below a dollar. Then the least significant digits alone do convey meaning.
