Thanks John - this is very interesting. I think I have managed to find the USB process id (305 on my Touch), although I haven't had the chance yet to do much listening. I am also using a HRT (the new II+). With Soundcheck's mods applied, I find the results better than any dac I have tried via spdif, so I would love to be able to have a stable 24 bit capability.
