ATM technology is not relevant to domestic users. It is/was used by Telecom operators in the backbone network where they had different types of traffic which had to be transported over high speed links (e.g. SDH/SONET). The nearest a domestic user will get to ATM is when using ADSL as many ADSL connections terminate in a ATM based DSLAM. As a technology ATM is now out of date and there are other backbone technologies taking over. -- bpa ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=89481 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list audiophiles@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
