Yes, my system has been setup this way for years now. TP balanced
outputs driving the amps in my ATC speakers (via 13dB passive
attenuators). It's the best sound I've ever had.

Make sure your basic gain staging is correct. Use passive attenuation
so that 100% volume on the TP is the loudest you ever want to listen,
and then use the TP's volume control for day-to-day adjustment. This
maximises signal/noise ratio. It also keeps the audio signal in the
most linear part of the DAC, but that's a secondary consideration if
your source material is sourced from CD (ie. 16 bit). If you're using
the balanced outputs you'll need to add the attenuation externally; if
you use the unbalanced outputs there are internal jumpers you can set.
