use REAPER. Thank me later. it is a heavyweight professional audio tool. audacity, cool.edit, vinyl whatever are all mickey mouse in comparison.
i am well versed in reaper, pro.tools, samplitude and sequoia(my daw of choice)and am happy to help anyone. sound card wise..the esi juli@ is a phenomenal choice for this. the onboard converters are good, loads of i/o and it is cheap! again...fine to.record at.24 48{any higher is not beneficial) , do your editing and processing..but imo you should always dither/resample back to 16\44.1. vinyl has at most...12 bits resolution...so using 24 whatever is like using a industrial warehouse to store a wristwatch...... -- TheOctavist Vortexbox>SBT(TT 3.0)>>Forssell MDAC-2>>>Klein and Hummell 0300D Sota Sapphire/Lyra Kleos>>Bespoke Valve Phono Stage>>Mastersound Due Venti>>Link Audio K100 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ TheOctavist's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=52700 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=93265 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list audiophiles@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
