I don't know if you are aware of this but it is legendary that you can supposedly hear the sound of the tube (ie underground trains) in recordings made at the Kingsway Hall. There are many many classic EMI recordings from this venue (sadly now a hotel). I have to confess i am not sure i have noticed it myself, but you might want to check.
