Binaural is nothing new the way i understand it. I lately saw a documentary about Karajan and some older, wise recording engineer talked about the way he positioned the microphones already back then. He placed them as if they were the ears of a head. He was working for EMI when i remeber right. Others did "straight" capturing. I guess with that you really can have nice results and some sounds will be directly in your head with headphones on. I just listened some recent samples at HDtracks but it left me pretty unimpressed. I don“t like that endless church echoes sound. Also as Tom Waits fan the covering of "Hold On" should have better been left out. I feel no need to listen more of that.
