There is a parameter (max no of sessions) that can be used to control the number of simultaneous sessions open in a SAP R,3 client. The values range from 1-9, and best practice suggests that the value is set no higher than 6. The number of open sessions has little impact on system performance compared to the number of active users currently logged into the system.

Subject: SAP sessions

Dear All,

In case of SAP environment, does opening of many sessions (either by opening the session in the same login or by logging again)have impact on system speed?
If it is so is there a way to control opening of such sessions
