with 2.6.21.4 and aufs 20070312 (yes, i know that's old), I sometimes
see this on 4-core Intel boxes:

ACPI: PCI interrupt for device 0000:02:00.0 disabled
ACPI: PCI interrupt for device 0000:04:00.1 disabled
ACPI: PCI interrupt for device 0000:04:00.0 disabled
ACPI: PCI interrupt for device 0000:03:00.1 disabled
ACPI: PCI interrupt for device 0000:03:00.0 disabled
Restarting system.

Is there an obvious cause for this?

I'm currently updating to 2.6.21.5 and aufs 20070618, but I won't know
if they also have the problem for a while.
