Ok.
It becomes clear that aufs in ubuntu raring is newer that I saw. It is
good but still old as half a year.

Of course, it is your choise.
But I am afraid there is a worse scenario such as ubuntu people may
always choose the half a year behind version, which will be hard for me
to support and debug.
Is your OpenAfs git://[4]git.openafs.org/openafs.git?
