Transfering this discussion from #augeas, does Augeas support Windows Registry files?
There are two forms of these files. One sort is a binary blob, which I'm not interested in. But there is also an ASCII representation, and it's easy to convert between the two in both Windows and in Linux (using the 'regex' command) [1]. What I'm particularly interested in are the user.reg and system.reg files that Wine uses. For reference, I've uploaded examples here: http://www.annexia.org/tmp/user.reg http://www.annexia.org/tmp/system.reg Also, registry blobs from a real Windows 2003 machine, converted to ASCII using Fedora regex program [warning: both fairly large]: http://www.annexia.org/tmp/software.reg http://www.annexia.org/tmp/w2k3-system.reg Rich.
