Hi Nick. It appears to me that you're having some build blues due to a poorly-written buildscript. I haven't had a chance to take a look at the specifics, but if what's stumping you you may probably want to take a look at fakechroot/fakeroot to trigger a build on ${pkgdir}/opt/ and such.
