This forum post seems to have a similar problem. https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=260924In their case it was / being owned by the user not by root which caused the error. Have you checked directory ownership of /etc/uberbot? My translation of the error message is "I don't want to make this directory owned by root because it's owned by a user and that could break things". Dunno if any of that is helpful.
