intelfx [1] filed a request to merge openocd-git-libftdi [2] into openocd-git [3]:
The package openocd-git has since stopped using libftd2xx and switched to libftdi so there is no point in this package anymore. (This package uses obsolete build practices and appears to be abandoned as well.)
