solanki [1] filed a request to merge hipsycl-cpu [2] into adaptivecpp
[3]:

In September 2023, the hipSYCL/Open SYCL framework was renamed to
AdaptiveCpp (see the top of
https://github.com/AdaptiveCpp/AdaptiveCpp/blob/develop/README.md).
The `hipsycl-cpu` package's PKGBUILD has not been updated since, and
as such, it is highly outdated and has not been building for quite
some time now. Its full functionality is reproduced in the
`adaptivecpp` package, which successfully builds the latest stable
version of AdaptiveCpp (25.02). I would thus propose to merge the
`hipsycl-cpu` package into the `adaptivecpp` package.
