Hi, last year I have builded several of the pkgbuilds which makedeepnds
on pod2man without it and succeded with both makepkg and devtools
Have then commented on

nedit (also failed to build at the time)
Didn't coommet on
kdocker-git have one of the maintainers of kdocker
python-xlsx2csv-git is a new pkgbuild (2026-07-31)
zoneminder and zoneminder-git are confusing it with podman
it is listed as optdepnds with
'pod2man: required for Docker support'
I have missed libvirt-sandbox; I see there it was added by an user
that is on Artix afaik
Looking a years later got only reply and removal on colobot-gold
Over time I got some people asking to add pod2man as makedepnds
but didn't get the root cause
