This package exists solely to carry one out-of-tree patch: the xe DPT
stolen-memory fix for Lunar Lake and newer Intel integrated graphics,
which
caused trace-less hard resets under load (drm/xe issue #7513).
I am the maintainer and submitter of this package.
The patch is now upstream. It shipped in Linux 7.2 as commit
fc6487579083
("drm/xe: Fix DPT allocation paths."), merged via drm-xe-
fixes-2026-08-13.
In v7.2, drivers/gpu/drm/xe/display/xe_fb_pin.c no longer allocates
the DPT
from stolen memory, so the patch is obsolete.
