kino_t [1] filed an adoption request for gtsam [2]: I would like to adopt gtsam.
The package is currently orphaned due to a build failure. I went further and submitted a fix upstream: https://github.com/borglab/gtsam/pull/2265 — "Fix compatibility for Eigen 5.0.0". The PR has been merged into borglab/gtsam. I tested the fix locally and makepkg now builds successfully. I use gtsam for a factor-graph-based SLAM / pose graph optimization project. A broken AUR package directly blocks my workflow, so I have a concrete, ongoing need to keep it maintained. I am familiar with AUR packaging (makepkg, namcap) and will monitor upstream releases from borglab/gtsam. I will respond to build failures and out-of-date flags promptly. If I can no longer maintain the package, I will orphan it rather than leave it unmaintained. Please consider my adoption request.
