That shouldn't be happening. There's nothing in the postman-bin [PKGBUILD](https://aur.archlinux.org/cgit/aur.git/tree/PKGBUILD?h=postman-bin) that would touch anything in your Home directory. I've never used the program, so I don't know what files it creates after running it. If it is overwriting your local desktop file, I would create an upstream issue so the developers can look into it.
