@Sebastian, there is nothing for you to do.

An AUR Trusted User (TU) will have to act upon this request.

The git repo of the old package will stay on the AUR git server, the package 
itself not be available to download via http(s) from AUR, and the AUR page will 
be deleted.

The comments and votes from the old AUR package will be migrated to the target 
AUR package page.

No 'git merge' will need to be done at all, this merge will happen in the AUR 
package database, not in git.
