MarsSeed [1] filed a deletion request for kmplayer [2]: Broken media player, last released in 2016. Since that time, its Gitlab repo sees virtually only automated translation bump commits and mass deprecation adjustment commits and CI disablement commits.
Officially it only supports xv (X Video Extension) and x11 video drivers, nothing else. It was dropped from repo in 2022, and it has only 1 vote on AUR. It is also broken, just like its unmaintained dependency, kmediaplayer. The latter is discontinued for KF6, so kmplayer also does not have a welcome place on the upcoming KDE Plasma 6 (ETA: Q1 2024).
