MarsSeed [1] filed a deletion request for avr-gcc-atmel [2]: Abandoned, broken variant/duplicate pkg from 2017 of extra repo's avr- gcc.
There was one user, @Marchlynx, who indicated in 2022-05 that they would like to take over maintenance and that they already have their GitHub repo with the updated PKGBUILD. But that GitHub repo is unmaintained since May 2022, and @Marchlynx does not seem to have logged in to AUR in a long time. Their GitHub user has no registered activity in 9+ months. Upstream Atmel has been merged with Microchip, the original Atmel servers got shut down, and Microchip has put all their avr-gcc distribution files behind a loginwall.
