MarsSeed [1] filed a request to merge custom-install-git [2] into custom-install [3]:
Upstream is abandoned since 2 years ago, and the '-git' package is unbuildable due to missing dependency. The stable package is only 8 commits behind the default branch, and from those, only 1 is meaningful (a minor fix, which if needed, can be added as a patch). Most importantly, AUR/custom-install can be built and run, so it's better to keep only that one.
