Request #59173 has been Accepted by Antiz [1]:

@MartinVonReich

The android-file-transfer package in [extra] is now up-to-date [1] and
under active maintenance again.

Regardless of the above, I'm unsure about what intentions you're
trying assign to us by accusing maintainers to "deliberately" not
maintain this package and showing "no signs of interests of offering
the 'latest & greatest' to end-users" but:
1 - Maintaining packages is a voluntary/unpaid effort (even for Arch
staff) and life is a thing
2 - We are always happy about contributions [2], at least way more
than users violating rules

Indeed, the rules of submission for AUR packages [3] clearly states
that "the submitted PKGBUILDs must not build applications already in
any of the official binary repositories **under any circumstances**"
*(this is actually the first sentence of that chapter)*.
While the fact that the android-file-transfer [extra] package was
*voluntarily* not actively maintained is debatable (despite your
accusation), it is however pretty clear to me that you broke the above
rule *deliberately*.

Please make sure that your actions (and overall attitude) goes along
with the rules and the Arch Linux Code Of Conduct [4].
