As I said, maybe the DRY handicaps for sports class need review, the ballasted
were changed a year or 2 ago, time at which I was told the DRY handicaps for
sports class are no longer used because the Sports Nats are competed ballasted
but we still use the DRY sports handicaps in other events.

Last time I flew Sports at Keepit Steve and I reviewed Nimbus3DM handicap
relative to 18M ballasted and found them correct, contrary to earlier
complaints. Maybe I should bring 15M next time? ;)

At the Keepit Regatta we use the GFA dry handicaps and as Casey said, we adjust
for engines weight when fitted and not accounted for in the reference weight.

It would be nice if we could adjust the 18m gliders to something more realistic
but since the Sports class are now competed ballasted I think the dry handicaps
for the sports gliders are not actively reviewed.

If we change anything to the handicaps the pilots will crucify us. It has to
come from GFA.

Ron,

The Keepit regatta does it's own handicaps.

Of course you are confused ;)

I am confused totally,

I have an old Nimbus 3DM. When i went to the Two seat Nats its handicap was
1040 and yet if i had gone to the Keepit Regatta its handicap is 1220. So???????
