Point 4 - Hours and launches up to date - this isn't required if you
implement a "GFA Approved Alternative" per AN150

(Look at the note at the beginning of Part 3 in the DI book)

AUGC is in the process of implementing this system; our Treasurer has
written an aircraft hours / launches report which gets faxed to the airfield
every week.

I think we just need formal approval from our RTO.

Does anyone else use this system? any comments?

Just in case it was missed. The "A" in the ABCD check is also to check that
the airframe is legal to fly. i.e.
1. Correct maint. release for the aircraft.
2. Current maint. release.
3. No major defects entered that have not been signed out by a qualified
person.
4. Hrs and launches up to date.
5. No periodic inspections due. (Blanik operators sigh heavily)
6. Correctly signed and dated for the days flying.

If all of these points aren't satisfied then any other check can only be
considered to be practice.
