Hi everyone this incident reminds me of my first cross country on returning
to the field with 4000' to spare I sped up to 90 knots and hit strong sink
causing me to hit my head on the canopy of the Hornet, (and nearly knock
myself out- I was groggy for some 30 sec afterwards)after which I decided in
the future I would do an aerobatics check if I inteneded to fly faster than
80kts, this story convinces me even more!

Perhaps it should be practice to do an aero check if intending to fly at or
near max manouvering/rough air speed?

Regards Dave L
