Hi all, Its odd that this should be mentioned as I have often thought that ridge soaring, in a timed lap situation say 10 laps of an appropriate distance along the ridge(2km?), as flown in model comps. The emphasis is on accurate low drag turns and a signalling device is used to inform the pilot of the end of a lap.
Such an event could be run faily quickly without too much organisation.....except for the wind! A site with top launching abilities would be nice. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dave Boulter" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Aus-Soaring" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Tuesday, February 04, 2003 4:23 PM Subject: [aus-soaring] [Fwd: Hang Gliding Competitions on TV] > > > -------- Original Message -------- > Subject: Hang Gliding Competitions on TV > Date: Wed, 29 Jan 2003 18:14:14 +1100 > From: Dave Boulter <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > On a Channel in Shanghai I saw Hang Gliding Competitions at Stanwell > Park Australia.
