A pilot has been taken to hospital for observation after crashing her glider on landing at the Waikerie Aerodrome in the Riverland. Witnesses say the female pilot suffered only minor injuries after damaging the tail of her glider on the tarmac. The woman was coming in to land after a day of competition at the National Gliding Championships being held in Waikerie.
