Simon,

If the canopies are twinkling or yellowing there is nothing that will be able to restore their visual clarity. Polishes like Plexus that contain carnuba wax that has similar refractive index as acrylic , can fill the fine scratches that cause the flairing  when landing into the sun. This will buy you time but  eventually you are up for replacement. Acrylic has about a 10 year exposure life. I will shortly be able to supply sets of Blanik and Twin Astir canopies. Can do Blanik front screen and Twin Astir rear canopy now.

Subject: [Aus-soaring] Sun damaged canopies

In Alice Springs we are currently doing the Form 2's.

Tom Bird vaguely remembers that back in the 70's we looked at a product that would "restore" canopies that had been "sun damaged". Our Astir and Blanik both have old canopies that are less than perfect when flying into the afternoon sun.

Is this product still around ?
Does it work?

Regards,
Simon Holding
