Looks like you had some fun in the new "PRV" ZRD.
Well done!

Subject: RE: [Aus-soaring] Manometer Construction
The reference book I have by C A Williams "Aircraft Instruments" published
in 1961 gives:
P = 0.016580 x V squared (1 + 0.57 x V squared x 10 to the power -6)
With resulting P in mm of H20 given V input in knots.
If you go really fast, ie above 300 knots, a yet more accurate formula is
stated.
This is better than a simple V squared formula.
As Mike Borgelt says temperature is an issue and yet strangely the
reference
above does not specify the temperature at which the formula is reckoned to
be accurate.

Subject: Re: [Aus-soaring] Manometer Construction
I am seeking info on the manometer scale above 160 Kts for ASI
Calibration,
up to say 250 Kts.
Basic Sailplane Engineering provides the info up to 160 Kts.
Ive been unable to locate any info - and the scale to 160 Kts does not
appear consistent, let alone to 250 Kts.
Thanks in anticipation,
John Hudson
