Keen to know how you go on this Phil. We are similar size (less at around 160 members) at SCGC in Sydney. We pay part time Ops person for mid week and a part time back-office, relying on more mature people who have a bit of time and would like to keep in touch with the Club. We do not fly Thur-Fri but every other day and would like to extend to 7 days. Keen to know what responses you get on/off list and maybe share experiences.

We have one full time maintenance /instructor /tug pilot person and one office person who works about 20 hours. Our membership is around 140 glider pilots, 30 ultralight pilots and another 30 something members who operate various types other types of aircraft who are club members. What are other clubs of similar sizes doing? As I see it we can either continue paying a premium for having the staff (about $60K/year) or fly cheaper but at the cost of doing the work ourselves though possibly in a less professional manner.
